  The investigation into the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has taken another unexpected turn after human remains were discovered in a desert area near Tucson, Arizona. Chamoli Tunnel Accident: Death Toll Rises to 10 in Uttarakhand

  The Chamoli tunnel accident in Uttarakhand has taken a tragic turn, with the death toll rising to 10 after the bodies of two more workers were recovered on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The workers had been missing since a landslide caused water and debris to enter an under-construction tunnel in the Pipalkoti area of Chamoli district. The accident occurred on August 13 at a tunnel being constructed as part of the Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydroelectric Project. A sudden flow of water and debris entered the tunnel following a landslide, trapping several workers inside. Two More Workers Found Dead Rescue teams recovered the bodies of the two remaining missing workers during the search operation on Tuesday.
